We at di mano in mano are experts in buying and selling two types of art : painting and sculpture . Inside our warehouses there are many works of contemporary art and ancient art , which can be admired in our physical stores or in the online catalogue.
We specialize in paintings by painters from the 19th century and paintings by painters from the 1900s , but we try to satisfy the needs of all art lovers, up to evaluating and offering ancient art from the 1600s for sale.
In our stores and online catalogue, the arte antica label includes ancient sculptures , precious marble busts and elegant statues , dated to the 1600s or even before 17th century art . Ancient painting , in particular, includes a large collection of paintings prior to the 19th century . The most common subjects are portraits , still lifes , sacred subjects or the landscape , represented in the four seasons or through glimpses and views. These subjects are also the protagonists of the 19th century paintings , then leaving space, on the canvases of the 900 paintings , also for more abstract representations.
The last macro-category that represents us is that of contemporary art , which some art experts define as that mode of artistic expression which tends to involve new means of expression.
