Description
First edition of one of the novels by Emilio Settimelli, writer, theater author, founder and collaborator of numerous magazines in the Futurist era. A restless personality from his youth, Settimelli found his ideal environment in the interventionist and post-war futurist movement. Present above all in the theatrical world as an author and as an impresario and popularizer of the avant-garde theater of the time, his name is linked to that of Marinetti and Bruno Corra as a signatory in 1915 of the Synthetic Futurist Theater Manifesto. For his uncompromising criticism of the corrupt world of the fascist regime, which he adhered to since its foundation, he was first expelled from the Party and then sentenced to confinement. Our copy of the novel Strangolata da his hair, with its beautiful Déco cover, bears the proprietary signature of Nino Orsi, a Milanese fascist, law scholar, who published essays on fascist legislation at the time.
