Product Condition:
Volume in fair condition. Solid modern half parchment binding with marbled corners and plates, with gold title and friezes on the spine; traces of dust on the plates and on the back. Traces of dust on the cuts. The first quinternions (ac; AC) are in more precarious conditions than the entire volume: the leaves appear more fragile, with several important problems: cc a4 and b1 of the Discours préliminaire are completely missing; the quinterno B has tears and serious shortcomings with loss of text in the lower part of the cc with restoration and restoration interventions; inside C restorations to small marginal tears without loss of text; one last restoration to a marginal tear in F1. The leaves in general appear well preserved, irregularly browned and with scattered foxing and small brown spots irregularly distributed, located above all along the margins; we report only in P3 a small loss of text due to a spot in the text.
