Work in two volumes. Full leather bindings with golden decorations on the sides and spines; gilt titles on inserts and paper labels on the spines: widespread abrasions on the plates and spines, missing parts on the caps and cuts on the hinges; in particular serious cut to the lower part of the hinge of the first volume, which leads to a loosening of the binding; on the back plate of the first volume there are holes in the leather covering. On the front pastedowns ex libris. Golden cuts with traces of dust. Well-preserved papers with rare foxing. Two folded papers are attached to the first volume, the first of which has a side cut without compromising the image. Text in Italian language.

In two volumes, first edition of this guide to visiting the lagoon city which was later reprinted several times. In the first volume, after a preliminary speech which explains how to use the guide, the "Main objects to see in the city of Venice and the adjacent islands distributed over eight days" are listed in schematic tables, having as criteria Location, Objects (Periods and authors ), Things worthy of particular attention and observations; the volume presents two folded maps: the Map of Venice and the Map of the Venice Lagoon. In the second volume the "Compendium of Venetian history divided into eight eras from the origin of Venice in the year 421 until the fall of the Republic in the year 1797"
