Giuliano Malimpensa, the founder, already 15 years he worked at Lino Sabattini and learned the techniques of craftsmanship of the brass, and silver. From the '70s, he collaborated with the great masters of Italian design: Gio Ponti, Bruno Munari, just to name a few. Meetings that lead him in 1980, to launch the “MESA”, a small industrial company with the concept of the “atelier, a laboratory of applied arts, far away and never in competition with the large serial productions. He also collaborates with Riedel in 1987, and with Sony in 2007. Several pieces designed by him are displayed permanently at the museum “Die Neue Sammlung” in Munich and the “Kyoto extension center” in Kyoto, Japan.
